We’d like to welcome you back to our roots with haziethoughts.com, but we’d also like to welcome you into our new home. We reupholstered, revamped, and re-cultivated the very things we stood for and provide when we started this thing 4 years ago and we’re excited, even thrilled to be back in our element.

Waka Flocka Flame Gives Us the Real
Wooh, Waka Flocka Flame gives one of the realest most in depth interviews you’ll ever see from a rapper. Waka speaks on why Donald Trump shouldn’t be President (best point I’ve heard from anyone) why there’s no art in hip-hop and his growth as a 29-year-old man. Applaud Waka and all the men and women standing up for the real.
Monday Funnies
It’s a slow, semi gloomy Monday. So here’s a video that I hope picks up your spirits.
Also, Fetty Wap is quite the historian according to gramps.
At the Night Show
The first time I ever heard this song, I declared it the greatest song ever. A few months later, I basically feel the same. Here’s the video for Travi$ Scott single, Antidote.
Lil Dicky – $ave Dat Money
I love Lil Dicky and you should too, did I mention he’s a pretty good rapper, enjoy!
Stop Asking Black Celebs About Race, Please and Thank You
Richard Sherman is the latest black athlete/celebrity to take on the topic of Black Lives Matter. While I agree with some of the things he said, there are other parts I don’t. Primarily, his idea that black people should care about “black on black crime” before they start pushing blame on white people.
“I think that’s the point that we need to get to, is we need to deal with our own internal issues before we start moving forward and start attacking other people. We need to solidify ourselves as a people and deal with our issues because I think as long as we have black-on-black crime and one black man killing another, if black lives matter, then they should matter all the time. You should never let somebody get killed. That’s somebody’s son, that’s somebody’s brother, that’s somebody’s friend. So you should always keep that in mind.”
TBT: Bud of the Week
If you’re new to HazieThoughts, at one point this blog wasn’t as sophisticated as it is now, lol. It was an outlet for me and a few friends to write some stuff, and put a few more people other than our friends to some music. One of the other things we did, was put people on to some of the best buds that we had or hadn’t smoked recently.
So on this Throwback Thursday and in honor of Colorado’s suspended tax on recreational weed this Wednesday, I give you Bud of the Week. Enjoy!
Lil Durk – 500 Homicides
Hip-Hop has always been the voice of people, and it’s always songs like Lil Durk’s – 500 Homicides off his debut album, Remember My Name that remind me of that. Chicago, Illinois has been dubbed the murder capital of the United States. Twenty-two year old Lil Durk is a product of that life, and has used his music to bring people all around the world into his world.
Job Functions Police Are Not “Qualified” to Do
We never talked about the police incident involving former United States tennis star James Blake, but let’s recap briefly. James Blake was outside a hotel in Manhattan. He was waiting for his car service to the U.S. Open. A plain clothes officer ran up on him, and took him down aggressively, never showing a badge or identifying himself.
Blake, in the days after said he didn’t think race was a factor, but believed that the officer should be fired from his job. This led to a response from, Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch. You can read the response below.

Young Thug – Best Friend
Young Thug is, interesting. I never really know what to make of Thugger other than he makes music that is catchy and/or enjoyable, depending on who you’re asking. One thing that can’t be debated is just how unique and creative Young Thug actually is. No matter what you think, he’s a fresh voice and look and that’s always a good thing.
